If President Obama wanted to show seriousness about the "outrageous spending" and "disregard for taxpayer dollars" by folks over at the General Services Administration he'd do all taxpayers a small favor and fire the whole agency of 12,000.
After all, these bozos didn't just spend "taxpayer" funds, they spent "$6,325 on commemorative coins in velvet boxes to reward all participants for their work on stimulus projects." So that's where the stimulus went. And they hired outside event planners to help with the conference even though the GSA has its own event planning staff.
Oh! And they did a $75,000 "team building" exercise -- to build a bicycle. Bet it doesn't run, either.
Now, can you understand from the name, what this agency is responsible for doing? Didn't think so.
If President Obama wants to defend the current size and scope of the government, go ahead, but he'd do his reelection a favor if he'd just sacrifice the current GSA staff and then he can start up a whole new "jobs" program to hire them all back.
