Giants get special in-flight viewing

If you are what you watch, the Giants will be champions during their 6-hour flight Saturday to Seattle.

There’s always a movie shown on team flights but this one will be a bit different. This cross-country charter flight will feature the new film “Secretariat,’’ starring Diane Lane, John Malkovich and Kevin Connolly.

Although this film is currently in first-run theaters – which means normally it would not be available to be shown on a charter flight – a special request was made to Disney through actress Kate Mara.

This information comes courtesy of Chip Namias, president of Athlete & Event Sports Public Relations.

Kate Mara is the daughter of Chris Mara, the Giants vice president of player of evaluation and the granddaughter of Wellington Mara, the team’s late co-owner.
