Defensive end Justin Tuck on Thursday again did not practice and it is inevitable he will be ruled out of the game with lingering neck and groin issues. Right guard Chris Snee again was not on the scene after suffering a concussion in last week’s loss to the Seahawks and he will not play. The same for rookie fullback Henry Hynoski, who came out of the Seattle game with a neck burner that caused him to lose strength in his arm.
Running back Brandon Jacobs did not practice Thursday but, unlike earlier in the week, he wasn’t even inside the fieldhouse during the portion of practice open to the media. Jacobs hurt his knee in the victory over the Cardinals in Arizona two weeks ago and has a strained medial collateral ligament, an injury that kept him out of the Seahawks game and this weekend’s game.
The Giants have yet to make definitive determinations on these players but it is obvious they won’t be available to play.
Long snapper Zak DeOssie came out of the Seattle game with a concussion and he has not practiced this week. Backup offensive lineman Jim Cordle was handling the snapping at practice. He filled in last week when DeOssie was forced out.
Defensive end Osi Umenyiora (knee) and linebacker Michael Boley (knee) each practiced Thursday.
