Over 248 films came out in 2010, which means there were hundreds of posters to sift through when it came time to select the year's best & worst since many movies release multiple. An occurence that is perfectly exemplified by a pair of posters for Oscar front-runner "The King's Speech."
When the first one debuted at the start of November (right), it was soundly rejected as unworthy of the stellar film it promoted. And if nothing else proves how important a poster can be to a film's success, The Weinstein Company immediately addressed the industry's issue and released a second, much more creative one sheet (left) that was deemed worthy.
"King's Speech" wasn't the only movie to find itself saddled with a subpar poster this year but it was one of the few that got a radical redo which kept it off PopWrap's list of:
