I've always been a little bit in awe of Chilli, aka Rozonda Thomas from '90s supergroup TLC. Not only is her body on point, but she always seemed like the crazy, sexy, coolest in the group. And I gotta give her props for figuring out a way to have a dating show on VH1 without going down the "Flava of Love"/"Rock of Love" route.
On "What Chilli Wants," the singer still goes on as many dates as Flava Flav or Bret Michaels did, but she doesn't do it while sharing a mansion or bus with the boys. Instead she's turned to self-help author Tionna Smalls (who wrote the awesomely titled "Girl, Get Your Mind Right!") for her matchmaking skills.
Also popping up in the preview are Chilli's TLC compadre T-Boz and Missy Elliot, whose absence is seriously felt in my life ... and my iPod. "What Chilli Wants" premieres Sunday, April 11 at 10:30 p.m. and I can't wait to watch her usher in a new wave of VH1 dating shows. You know, ones that don't require decontamination showers immediately after viewing!
