Sometimes it feels like you actually have to be a vampire in order to last the super-long stretches of time in between seasons of "True Blood." Sure there are scattered casting announcements and hints from the actors of what's to come, but the fact remains that this is the most tight-lipped group since "Lost," so real, legit info is harder to come by than fairy blood.
Thankfully HBO.com has just handed the reigns of their production blog to one of creator Alan Ball's assistants, Gianna Sobol (might be a fictional person), and today marked her first post. Now, while she doesn't give you the goods straight out -- we do still have four plus months of waiting -- a quick chat with Alan sheds some very intriguing light on where season four is heading.
Gianna: Got any advice for fans that are chomping at the bit?
Alan: We're working as fast as we can! In the meantime, I recommend watching the Swedish film "Let the Right One In" and the Russian films "Day Watch" and "Night Watch."
Gianna: What are you most excited about this season?
Alan: I really love the Eric storyline.
Gianna: What's going to shock the fans?
Alan: What happens to Jason...throughout the whole season.
Now, I find the mention of "Day Watch" & "Night Watch" to be the most intriguing since those vampire films focused quite a bit on medieval history and protecting vampires -- a concept "Let The Right One In" also prominently features.
Check out trailer for "Night Watch" and "Let The Right One In" to see what you think about Alan's possible direction for season four.
