The adorably adorable host of "The Rachel Maddow Show," Rachel Maddow, not only knows how to rock a pixie cut and lay the smack down on poli-talk, but also has one serious party talent ... mixing up cocktails.
I read this week (via) that Rachel shared boozy shopping stories with Dossier mag, like, "I got drunk last Thursday and ordered one [a TV] on Amazon! ...The last time I lived in a house with the TV was in 1990." This just in Rachel, they canceled "Wings," and Ross and Rachel have a whirlwind of a time staying together. That on top of her bartending appearance on this week's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" solidified her lush-tacular status in my book.
While on Jimmy's show, she suggested to him a more manly beverage than his normal gin and tonic -- and then went on to change his tires and build him a deck! Jokes! And what better than to use her mixology skills to create a new drink (the Bijou, no relation) with her talents. Then I thought, hey, I've seen this before. Three other times to be exact.
I remember watching Ms. Maddow on Martha Stewart, where she told M-dog that she has "no real talents" and considers her major party trick "mixing drinks." So much so in fact that she does it on every show she appears on. I guess its better than watching her play the French horn or recite the "Vagina Monologues."
After the jump, take a look at Rachel mixing up four different drinks (a Bijou, Cherry Julip, Jack Rose and a Perfect) and showing us that it's OK to enjoy the sauce during the week. You hear that Hota Kotb?
