I don't watch "Grey's Anatomy." I tried -- even got two seasons deep before being told season three was horrendous and it never rebounded after Denny's death. Seeing where the series has gone leads me to believe I made the right decision.
I also believe that I'm a Katherine Heigl fan because I don't watch the show. All the off-screen hubbub about Katherine's behavior combined with Izzie's on-screen antics are what turns people off about her. I love the Heigl. Deal.
But I don't need to watch the show to know that the big question is whether Izzie survives the season -- my "Grey's" adoring bestie thinks no. Katherine, meanwhile, has no idea what else creator Shonda Rhimes has planned for her now that it's been revealed Izzie had the world's shortest and most curable case of metastatic melanoma ever.
"I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares," Katherine told The Associated Press. "I was assuming that [she would die] at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no."
But Katherine wants fans to know that she'll stick around Seattle Grace if the powers that be ask her to (read: I can't get out of my contract). "I'm there" if Izzie remains, she said in the least convincing voice ever.
Since I don't watch the show, tell me -- should Izzie be written off "Grey's"?
