They are shockingly few and far between, but Michelle Pfeiffer movies are usually fabulous and always a favorite of mine. And after a busier than normal 2007 - two movies constitute hectic for her - Michelle must've been rebitten by the acting bug and thankfully isn't waiting another 4 years to grace the screen again.
Today the poster for her newest movie, "Cheri," was revealed on IonCinema (via ONTD) and I am so stoked she's going historical because Michelle looks brilliant in period clothes. Just watch "Age of Innocence" or "Dangerous Liaisons" if you don't agree.
This time around, my Michelle plays Lea de Lonval (loving the name), a predictably stunning older woman who has an affair with the titular Cheri, son of a courtesan in 1920's Paris. But once his mother condemns the relationship, the boy retreats into a fantasy world, wherein he doesn't have a random ladies name.
Ok, I made up that last thing, but this movie sounds grand and lavish - the streets of Paris made up to look like the 20's? Le gorg!
