My love for "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog" didn't get hit with a freeze ray in the 16 months since the original first unspooled -- I am still a fervent fan and actually contemplated going as the good doctor for Halloween ("True Blood" won out).
So it shouldn't come as a surprise that I spent a lot of my one-on-one time with Nathan Fillion pressing for sequel details -- I got few. Thankfully, TV Guide magazine eeked a few more out of "Blog" mastermind Joss Whedon. "We have an outline, a wonderful concept, two songs, and general song placement. It really just needs the time," Joss told TVGM while promoting "Dollhouse's" Dec. 4 return and his upcoming guest directing "Glee" gig.
As for how many familiar faces will be back, Joss says, "I like to think they’ll show up. I don’t just work with them because they’re crazy talents, I work with them because they’re the best people I know. They walk over coals. They do it all the time, so yeah, they’ll be back."
Even Felicia Day as Penny? Hmmm, are we thinking prequel, twin or alternate universe? If so, good, better, best!
