I was innocently surfing the Web when this ad for Dana Carvey's new HBO special, "Squatting Monkeys Tell No Lies," popped up and scared the bejesus out of me. "What is wrong with his face," I wondered aloud, before realizing that in the promo Dana actually looks more like the gender most often paired with his name. And even then, girlfriend's had a lot of work.
So why does 53-year-old Dana look like a 22-year-old lady? Did he finally fill up his Botox punch card and simply take it one step too far? Or more likely, is his shockingly distorted face just the result of terrible photoshopping?
So to keep my "Murder, She Wrote" membership card, I sleuthed it out and compared the shot to the most recent pic I could find of Dana; one for the same HBO special the ad promotes. And while he definitely looks more normal in the pic on the right, he still looks mighty smooth for a man in his 50s.
And as long we're on the subject of painfully obvious observations, that is a suspiciously thick mane of luxurious hair. Maybe he uses the same magic shampoo that Jeremy Piven does...
