We're less than one month away from the season premiere of a whole new "American Idol" -- gone are Simon Cowell, the Top 24 and many other creature comforts the've depended upon since day one. But the one thing that remains, which the producers are really going out of their way to reinforce, are the everyday folks looking to quit their menial jobs and forever alter their destiny.
To that end, "Idol" has produced a documentary called "Welcome Home," which recounts the journey that fueled each winner to audition and what life is like for them today.
And as they say: hail, hail, the gang's all here -- Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen and yes, even Taylor Hicks. So check out the four part documentary and start X-ing off the days until the January 19 premiere of "American Idol" season ten!
