The fave five this week is going to make your cerebral cortex explode into tiny rainbow bits of confetti -- and that's a good thing.
With all the ingredients needed for an audio parade in your ears, the five songs on the list below are more fun than a box of candy cigarettes. First off are two upbeat tracks from Glasgow's PopCop, who released a kick-ass track for free download this week called "Superstar" as well as a Vodka & Milk remix of Drake & Lil Wayne's "Money to Blow." Then comes new flavor from the 80s Brit-pop-sounding Generationals who are bound to become a permanent fixture in my "Most Played" iTunes playlist.
The last two tracks, are the grand final of sound, coming in like big floats of funk. Kid Cudi puts his remix/mixtape flavor over some Vampire Weekend beats as well as the gang of Florence & the Machine who tackle the acoustic version of their new single "Hurricane Drunk." And here's the best part of this whole celebration of faves: no messy clean-up.
