After half a season of red herrings and Detective Rodriguez arresting, charging and releasing every resident of "Melrose Place," Sydney Andrews' killer was finally unmasked last night. So was it violent Violet, aggressive Auggie or someone else with an angrily alliterative name? Let's see what's behind door number three!
It was Vanessa Mancini! It turned out that the night she died, Sydney came clean about the affair she'd been having with Michael. When Mrs. Mancini came a-callin' she found David asleep in Syd's bed, where it was revealed that Vanessa had slept with her stepson five years earlier...exactly the age of her son, Noah!
Well, Syd's accusation that the boy Michael raised as his son was actually his grandson sent Vanessa into a stabby, punchy, drowny rage.
But no one gets away scot-free in "MP!" Earlier, David pieced the clues together (Vanessa, in the pool, with the knife) and stupidly told Violet that she was the one who murdered her mother.
So when Mama Mancini showed up at the complex looking for her son, who Violet had been hiding (don't ask), there was a showdown that led to a rumble in the shallow end of the world's least-sanitary pool and Violet drowned Vanessa.
Luckily for the lunatic, angelic Amanda arrived at the tail end of the tussle and corroborated her self-defense claim to the police because she believes that Violet is in possession of the $19 million painting she returned to LA to retrieve.
But we'll have to wait to see how that pans out since "MP" doesn't return until Jan. 12!
Was the reveal worth the wait?
