A Bronx man was recovering yesterday after being shot in the face and back while protecting his girlfriend during an ambush robbery outside his home, police said.
Jahmai Samuel, 27, was in stable condition yesterday at Jacobi Hospital. Samuel and his girlfriend, 26, were jumped by three masked thugs in the Laconia section at 10:15 p.m. Friday, cops said. They held the gal at gunpoint, shot Samuel as he tried to protect her, and fled with cash.
