Police yesterday picked up a Westchester man for questioning in the shooting of five people at Harlem’s famed Rucker Park, law-enforcement sources said.
The 25-year-old suspect was nabbed in Yonkers after cops there got a tip that he fired into the crowd at Wednesday night’s game in the annual Entertainers Basketball Classic, the sources said.
After receiving the tip, Yonkers Police confirmed with detectives in Manhattan that they were looking for the same suspect, whose name was withheld. He was being questioned last night. Charges were pending.
The shooting, which forced ex-Knick Nate Robinson to duck for cover along with the rest of the crowd, likely began as an argument in the stands, cops said.
The gunman became enraged when someone bumped into him, sources said.
