14-year-old girl fights off rapist: cops

Cops say a sicko tried to rape a 14-year-old girl in Manhattan but that the victim bravely fought off her attacker.

The creep pounced after he followed the victim into the stairwell of an apartment building near West 207th Street and Sherman Avenue in Inwood at about 8 a.m. Friday, police said.

The teen bravely fended off the man and escaped uninjured, police said.

The suspect, believed to be about 20 years old and 5-foot-5 with a thin build, fled. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white collared shirt.
