Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-run accident that killed a nun on Long Island.
Southampton town police say Sister Jacqueline Walsh of Syosett was found lying next to a road in Water Mill around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
She was on a retreat with her colleagues from the Sisters of Mercy.
Detectives located a car with front end damage about a half-mile from the scene.
They asked anyone with information to call 631-702-2230.
