Chris Brown and Drake are at it again — but this time it’s all on paper. The hip-hop heavyweights have filed legal papers in response to French male model Romain Julien’s suit against them in Manhattan Supreme Court over their infamous bottle-throwing brawl last year at SoHo club W.i.P. Responding to Julien’s suit, Drake says Brown and the club’s owners bear responsibility if the model was injured, while Brown fired back, blaming Drake. Brown further ducked wrongdoing on behalf of his entourage in the melee — which reportedly was spurred by an argument over Brown’s gal pal Rihanna — saying, “If any such individuals were present, they were independent contractors and not [acting as Brown’s employees] at the club.” Brown’s court response filed yesterday also denies that he was intoxicated, and disputes the “allegation that Drake sent Brown a note” — referring to media reports at the time that Drake sent over a taunting message. Julien says he suffered a severed tendon in his hand during the wild nightclub fracas.
