Kris Jenner seems like she would be able to ignore unflattering headlines.
But the Kardashian matriarch is reportedly “furious” about the backlash from NBC’s decision to air her interview about breast implants instead of the national moment of silence to remember the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, according to RadarOnline.
“Kris is a big supporter of the troops and she’s very upset about this,” a source with knowledge of the situation told the Web site. “She had absolutely nothing to do with the decision to skip the national moment of silence on 9/11, and suddenly she’s in the middle of it, and it’s her face being shown on TV while it’s being discussed.”
Although Jenner has publicly kept quiet over the fiasco, the reality star is reportedly fuming in private. “She isn’t saying so publicly but she is furious,” the source said. “She’s angry the show put her in this position.” It is not clear if she realized the moment of silence was being observed while she was discussing breast implants.
Two days ago, “Today” chose not to cut away at 8:46 a.m. for the moment of silence to mark the beginning of the attacks, choosing instead to continue with Savannah Guthrie’s interview with the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” mom.
A “Today” spokeswoman said the show had an interview with a World Trade Center survivor earlier in the show—and that NBC did insert coverage of the moment into the West Coast feed of “Today.”Follow @PageSix
