Shoe fits for Wynn pal

Steve Wynn reflected on his friendship with his Wharton roommate, shoe designer Stuart Weitzman, at the Footwear News Awards at MoMA on Wednesday night. “In college, Stuart told me he would spend his life making women happy — who knew he was talking about shoes?!” the hotelier said about Weitzman, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the gala. Weitzman was also celebrated by Beyoncé via a video message, in which the singer said she’s danced 1,000 miles “in his beautiful shoes,” over years of performing. Weitzman and Wynn capped off the night with dinner at Jean-Georges with a few other college buddies.
