TRUE BLUE COP RETIRES AFTER 39 YRS.

By LARRY CELONA

June 6, 2008

The longest-serving supervisor in the NYPD retired yesterday, getting a standing ovation from his fellow cops outside his Brooklyn station house.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and the NYPD's drum-and-pipes band were on hand for the last day of Sgt. Andrew McGoey, who put in 39 years on the job before retiring at the mandated age of 63.

McGoey spent most of his career working in Sunset Park's 72nd Precinct.
