The first Guantanamo Bay war-crimes trial, involving Osama bin Laden's former driver, can start Monday, a federal judge ruled yesterday.
In letting the system backed by President Bush and Congress to stand, US District Judge James Robertson rejected a request from Salim Hamdan, of Yemen, to stop the trial while he challenged the military tribunal system.
