A BAR HEATH WILL LONG HAUNT

Page Six Photo

July 24, 2008 --

HEATH Ledger's memory will live on in Brooklyn, and not just in the Cobble Hill home he shared with girlfriend Michelle Williams. The Down by the Hipster Web site reports that before his death in January, Ledger was a silent investor in a Greenpoint bar called Five Leaves, described as "a nautically-themed bar . . . at the corner of Lorimer and Bedford." The watering hole was designed and built by John McCormick, who also designed Smith & Mills in Tribeca. Ledger's "untimely death put the project in jeopardy," the site reports, but because Ledger's father, Kim Ledger, the executor of his estate, "knew how much the project meant to Heath," he "released the funds to finish construction."
