Bertrand Lortholary, consul general of France in New York City, talks to The Associated Press, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Newark, N.J. Lortholary attended an event in which the U.S. Army dog tags belonging to World War II veteran Willie Wilkins were returned to him. The tags were lost in 1944 and were found by Ann-Marie Crespo who was digging in her garden in 2001. The tags were returned to Wilkins during an event which was held as a surprise for Wilkins, 90, and which also marked the 68th anniversary of V-E Day, the end of World War II in Europe.
